The maps that are free of cost in the Battle of the Earth are listed on Portal’s website at launch. That doesn’t mean you can’t put 128 players on a medium-sized map, or even on one of the smaller ones, which are designed for deathmatches. We optimize high-end maps for 64 gamers, and large maps we use for 128 players (these are the new Battlefield 2042 maps). There are 13 maps for Battlefield Portal playlists, but they have been chopped up into large, small, and medium size maps. This map list is updated from October 2021. We’ll update this article with complete list when possible. It’ll include all the very closest details introduced in Battlefield 2042. We know Portal is going to include over 40 weapons and over 40 vehicles from the three older battlefields. We put together partial lists of these three games. We’ll find maps, weapons, gadgets, and vehicles from Battlefield 1942, Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3 that can be downloaded from Battlefield Portal, though most of these lists are incomplete.ĮA hasn’t published complete lists of the weapons and vehicles from three classic games set to be in Portal, but we saw the manifest and saw plenty of gear in the trailers. I like that it supports asymmetrical designs, so you can do that from a few Battlefield 2042 soldiers, if you want to combine Battlefield 1942-like units. It is not a spatial map editorandthese are no full re-engineering tools, but you will be able to test some kind of ridiculous ideas. In Battlefield 2142, Battlefield Portal allows you to play and create custom Battlefield modes using maps and guns from Battlefield 2042, plus a selection of elements from three old Battlefield games, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3. The old-school maps and gear that will be available in Battlefield 2042’s custom mode designer.
